A nice long walk before you need to leave will help in two ways: the puppy will go pee and/or poop, and he'll be tired. All of which will make him much more likely to curl up and nap. If walking outside doesn't feel practical, then some training time or play time works, too - but make sure the puppy pees before going into his crate or xpen.
The suggestion of one of your t-shirts is excellent. Dante's favorite place upstairs, until I get into bed, is to curl up in my dirty clothes basket. It smells like me! |
