I'm so sorry to hear about your baby! I hope the vet gives the little love all the care required. My thoughts to a speedy recovery.
As other members have said, pet store pups usually aren't the healthiest as they are often supplied by puppy mills. I hope it isn't anything serious.
I agree with the wet food suggestion (from the reading I've done here they like wet food a lot, I don't know first had because my baby doesn't come home until November) and the nutrical to keep the blood sugar up.
