And, I have never heard of Heartgard daily? That dog is stage 3 and does need the Immiticide treatments. Hmm, come to think about it, it's monthly. It's the new "slow kill" method which doesn't really kill anything at all and always disease to progress. It's supposed to weaken them. Standard of care is still definitely Immiticide in most cases.
Now I'm more confused. One Ivermectin shot a year for heartworms?
