Hard question. Take a look at mom and dad. Ask your breeder if this breeding pair have had puppies before- may be able to give you some hints.

Within any litter you may have a variation in the color- some may have a light gold others a deep gold. I was told many years ago to look at the gold under the tail- that is the color that your dog will have as gold when mature.

Body color- some may start breaking as early as 4 months some may be two years old before they start to break. This is where it is important to talk with the breeder and see if they can provide you with any background info.
