I only had a 29 dollar stethoscope that we purchased at school... it also had a ped side, but I used the adult side.
It is hard to tell this early what you are hearing unless you have experience in it... I wouldn't worry at this point.
If you are concerned you can get an ultrasound or an xray- but I am not 100% sure on how far along she has to be for that.

I am a retired nurse and I was going to suggest that she try the peds side. A lot of the cheaper ones don't have it tho.
