breeding You have such an advantage then I did..there was no Internet..no books on breeding Yorkies, still isn't much.... no show breeders who would give me the time of day..no breeder friendly vets near me.
When a person is serious about breeding, I am more then willing to help.
I never advise buying a male first, but it can work.
Please do not get your baby girl at 8 weeks..so much can go wrong and you may not wind up with anything you can breed...
Having read this forum for so long of course you know the downside. Nothing has stopped me..not even the death of my darling Tessa, 20 yrs ago. not the deaths of many precious babies..It kills me when a beautiful, fat pup comes out dead..just a few minutes before I saw it moving in it's mother womb, then suddenly it is dead and nothing I try will bring it's life back.
I can bury the deformed or ones who have obviously been dead for a few days..but that baby who is so perfect and so dead breaks my heart...I hold them for a few minutes, kiss them good bye and tell them I am so very sorry. I apologize to my mommy dog for the loss of her baby..she did her part and perhaps I, in some way let her down..her eyes tell me she trusts me and we concentrate on the living.
Breeding Yorkies will quickly separate the women from the girls...nothing has ever detered me, but many things have broken my heart. I have prayed and begged God for help, promised to never do it again, just get me out of this mess...LOL But even God knows I do not mean it and nothing will stop me from doing what I love so much.
Best wishes |
