I have a yorkie-poo too

When I first got Kelsey I lived right by my job, so I would drive to my house on my lunchbreaks to let her out potty and play with her. I am gone most of the day as well and work full time. I do have some help from my boyfriend though, he'll let her out (of her crate she stays in while Im gone or else she'll destroy things!) if I work over-time and feed her etc. I think it's a good idea to have a plan...if you have friends or family near by, give them a copy of your house key and ask them if they wouldn't mind helping you out for a little bit while your little one is a puppy...that is when they need you most! You can have the best of both worlds, just make sure it works out best for your future-fur baby!
I wanted to add...this isn't a substitution for socializing etc. I do agree that maybe on the weekends you could make up for being gone so much during the week, this is what I do with Kelsey. Although, she is never alone as my boyfriend is mainly home when I'm not...but you get the idea of what I'm trying to say.
