that's a good question! Lotte is our outdoorsey girl, but we've never come upon a trail too rough yet for her. I'll have to look into this too! I will say she is ALWAYS on a good quality harness that covers her entire chest for support so that if something were to happen and I needed to pick her up quickly I could. Don't forget the dog friendly bug spray!
