Milli has slept with us from day one as well. Our greatest concern, at first, was that she would fall off the bed when she was to tiny. To remedy that, we put her between us. She did fall off the bed once and had to be rushed to the emergency room but nothing was broken. Just a sprained leg.

As far as peeing goes, in the early months, I had a small 'fence' around a puppy pad on my side of the bed. When Milli would stir in the night, I'd just roll over and put her down on the floor on her fenced puppy pad. She'd pee and then ask to be picked back up. I'd roll over, put her back in between us and go back to sleep. Never any need to get out of bed or really even wake up completely. Once she got big enough to jump off the bed on her own, we just left the pee pad on my side of the room. Sometime she hits it...other times she misses! LOL

When Milli was tiny, I worried about her alot. But she's a tough little thing. Now, she jumps on and off the bed easily. We made a ramp for her at the foot of the bed but she mostly uses it during games of chase with her doggie sister when she launches off it! I know that some here have rather fragile yorkies but we've found that Milli is a tough little cookie...so I don't worry about her quite as much now. Just some encouragement that you won't always have to be quite so careful as when you bring your little one home!
