Ok, I'm a little scared to post because I'm not sure what kind of reaction I'm going to get - but here it goes.
As some of you know, I have been talking to Tucker's breeder about getting a new female after the New Year. After many conversations, I decided that when she is old enough I am going to breed her. My reasonings are not - just because I think puppies are cute, or I just want to see what happens, or I love my dogs so much I want there to be more of them. I am fully aware of the risks that I will be taking.
I genuinely love the breed. I will breed to the Yorkshire Terrier standard. It has been my dream to breed dogs ever since I was a kid and got my 1st dog from a breeder. It is pretty much the only thing I have been passionate about in my entire life.
I have been doing lots of research and I will continue to do research until and after I breed this dog (let's remember - she's not even born yet!!). I count on you guys for advice and support, so please don't bash me for wanting to breed. Just because I'm not an experienced breeder, does not mean that I won't be a good one. Every great breeder had to start somewhere.
Tucker's breeder has volunteered to be my mentor, but I will also need help from you all!! So please just tell me you're excited for me!! Thanks
