i leave my 5 month ole alone for 7-8 hours a few days a week. he has my whole bathroom but i use an expen to protect my cabinets and to make sure he doesn;'t fall in the jacuzzi and kill himself. he has food, water and a litter box as well as lots of blankets and toys. he does fine on the other days he goes with me everywhere. good luck!
