Default Starting to poop somewhere else instead of her potty spot

My yorkie has been pretty much 100% potty pad trained for the last 2 months but lately I've caught her pooping somewhere else in the house when we aren't watching her (my fault for not catching it). This seemed to have started after I got her eating wet food. What could be causing her to do this? It appears like she is having some sort of regression but I don't know what has caused this. If she was in another area of the apt, she would normally run straight to the potty pad in my bathroom to use the bathroom and then she would run back out to continue doing what she was doing. We live in a small apt and since she had been doing so well, we decided she could have free roam of the apt but now I'm thinking its not such a great idea. I also, plan on getting her spayed before the end of next month and am expecting her to have some regression with her potty training since I hear that occurs but not before then!! I would appreciate some answers and experienced advice on how to handle this.
