Well, some of us liberals have a few good ideas.
Unfortunately, it takes what people call "liberals" to take a stance on certain issues. Conservatives tend to like the status quo, and sometimes that's just not good enough. What we think of liberal today will be seen as conservative tomorrow. Thank you very much for contacting your senator about this! I won't jump on you.
Years ago I read that a young man who was conservative had no heart, and an old man who was liberal had no brains. I really like the quote, and I think it tells us, we need the proper blend of heart and brains. I know you have a lot of heart, I won't comment on the brain part!
