Years ago when I was in property management though, we had this problem at our apartments. All the "no solicitor" signs were posted and they didn't care and we would get call after call from residents.
So I always had to hop on my golf cart and go and argue with them how this indeed was soliciting and it usually ended with me saying we will let the police escort you off and decide if it's soliciting or not!  |
The Supreme Court sided with them saying it is not solicitation.
It is beyond me why people have such a need to invade the space of others.
I don't answer my door either, but I do not like people standing out there ringing the bell annoying me and my dogs. I have thought about putting a sign out there saying...don't ring this bell ... if you know me, you will have called to let me know you are coming. All others Go Away. I have a neighbor with a sign that says all trespassers will be shot and if they get up to run they will be shot again. Not so sure I would go that far. haha
