Just make sure they scale & polish. Some vets do it the "cave man" way. Using something that looks like pliers & they crack the calculus off omitting below the gums. I learned the hard way. Now I know why it was only $75.

I've since found a vet in small town from me that charges $60 plus $30 for blood work. Had them do our beagle & they did real good job. Felt like I found a garage sale. Most vets here where I live charges $300 & up.

I'll be taking my little yorkie in soon. But wanted to find out more about tightening the canies. Never heard of it. I've been putting off the cleaning because the vet wants to pull her 2 lower canies as their loose.
