Wish I could help withe snack question but I am not much of a snacker. I am a grazer and will eat parts of my meals all day and usually stop around 6:00 pm.
Water is the trick for me, I drink it all day long after my one cup of coffee per day. Giving up soda was so hard for me but I did it a few years ago and vowed after that struggle not to go back.
If I do snack I have string cheese made with low fat milk, or the little dill pickles (love both).
