I just picked up samples of each size from my vet about 10 minutes ago and so far they are just staring at them! I gave each one of them a different size...small for Peanut because he's tiny, medium for Moo because she isn't much of a chewer and large for Maddie Jo because it's thicker and bigger which is suitable for her aggressive chewing. They each politely took theirs, held it for a minute and laid it down next to them...Peanut burried his in his bed and he's guarding it
but so far not one of tem has even tried to chew on them...yet they chew on their toys so they know how to chew.
The vet says they are fully digestible and they can have one a day but I'm still leary of them...after all...they are rawhide. The whole 'greenie' thing scared me from chewables, digestibles and edibles a long time ago! I'm also concerned about bacteria building up on them but I was told if you store them in the fridge in a baggie after you take them from the dog the bacteria can't build up but who knows.
I think I'll get their teeth cleaned and brush them everyday instead of taking the risks that go along with 'edibles'.
