It really should be research before you can determine if they're a dog you can handle. Me too!!!!
But seriously, I love my spunky, yet calm yorkie. These little dogs are true individuals! I would love to have all sorts of dogs. Big, med, small, it doesn't matter! I'm limited by my allergies though, and to be truly honest I hate all that shedding. I'm a clean freak and that would just drive me up the wall!
I think my choice would be a Biewer, they're such gorgeous little dogs! But... we'll see. |
Hehe, thanks! I've been 'studying' dog breeds since I was little. I remember for my 9th birthday, I got one of those dog breed books that explained each breed, and that was when I fell in love with the GSD. I ended up getting one when I was 10, and unfortunately my dad nor I (I was so young) knew how to properly socialize and train a GSD and she ended up attacking someone when she 4 and got put down. I was devastated! She was my first baby and I still miss her. That's why I'm scared to get a GSD again though, she was just SO smart,
too smart. And that was my first devastating loss in my life, lol. I don't know if I could ever own another.
Through researching the Silky Terrier because so many people told me that's what Jackson looks like, I've really fallen in love with them. He's totally got the description personality, temperament and looks. I love that they still have the prettiness of the Yorkie (hehe) but are really sturdy and have stronger bones in general, and fewer health problems. They are the best of both worlds, IMO. I've totally researched a few reputable Silky breeders and I have a slight feeling, whenever I'm ready, I'm gonna end up with a Silky.
