There is no way if you have a huge amount of fleas on a dog that you are going to wash them off with anything...Dawn or whatever. The fleas will simply hide in the ears and anus.
I always use Advantage on my pups...especially when they are going to be in another yard. I don't have fleas and sometimes will skip it, but I have used it for many many years with no ill effects. I totally don't understand people's resistance to using it. Fleas are awful...not to mention the fact that your dog will get tapeworms if they ingest fleas. UGH |

If she has that many fleas crawling on her, you need more than a flea bath. Capstar will kill all the adult fleas instantly before they can lay eggs and infest your home.
Fleas only spend 1/4 of their life on the host.

Lady has multiple health issues including diabetes and epilepsy plus she will be 15 in a couple of months. I have never had a problem with Advantage.
