Did you get any phone numbers for the agency at Petsmart? You might can call and check on him. If he does not have a "foster family" you may can foster him until you get the money to adopt him. My family did that for a border collie mix earlier this year and it worked out great. It also gave our other dogs a chance to see if they would get along with one another. Let me know!
