 Does my Yorkie need a playmate?
Hi everyone, I have a 6 1/2 month old female Yorkie named Trixie. When I first got her I was able to be home a lot but my circumstances have changed and now Trixie spends a lot more time by herself. My fiancé and I are seriously considering getting another small, high energy dog to keep her company and play with her.Most likely a male Maltese since they also shed very little (my fiancee has allergies). My question is when and how is the best time/way to do this? Should I wait until she is older and completely trained? Or the earlier the better? I would like them to be relatively close in age etc. I'm a first-time Yorkie mommy so this is new territory for me, I just want my baby to be happy. Any feedback, opinions etc would be great!
