She is home. She will eat rice today and chicken added tomorrow. The vet showed me the new xray and what a difference a night of fluids can make. Her tummy and small intestine were full of gas and it has moved into the large intestine. She has antibiotics to ward off any potential infection. We will need to watch if this happens again in case there is something else going on. The vet advised that anytime a small dog has both diarrhea and vomiting there should be concern. Plus she was very very uncomfortable. Of course these things always happen when the regular vet is closed. Just like when the kids were little! It is good to know the Emergency vet is there when you need it. I can now say the cost of gas has really gone up! But piece of mind..... priceless
