My 5 month old lost his front teeth about 2 weeks ago, and I can definitely see lots of new teeth pushing through his gums. Since the night I noticed his missing teeth, he has lost all interest in his chew toys. (He used to LOVE chewing on toys all day long) The good part is that he isn't chewing or destroying furniture, etc. He is however nibbling on me instead. Lots of biting/gnawing on my hands and feet. (I'm trying to deal with this issue with the recommendations from other threads)
I've read that frozen toys can relieve the teething pain/anxiety, but he seems to have lost his interest in chewing on toys. He'll lick frozen toys once or twice, and then they just sit there and melt.
Is there anything else I can do to entice him back to his chew toys? I have many different options out around the apartment for him to try, but he just leaves everything alone- Greenies chew, a Nylabone edible chew, rubber "teething" toys. Are the chews too hard for his teething teeth? He bites hard when he gets ahold of my fingers, so I'm not sure what's up.
Any ideas? I feel bad that he doesn't have anything to keep his mouth busy all day
