Default Princess had spay surgery this morning

Hi Everyone!

I have been a very worried, nervous Yorkie "Mommy" today.

Princess had her spay surgery this morning and when I left her and my pomeranian for their surgeries I was about to break down in tears.

I just called about 1 1/2 hours ago. Both are doing great. Wide awake and the vet tech was back there with them, while I was on the phone with her. Said both were wide awake and looking out the door of their "cage". I was told both pups did very well with their surgeries. I will pick both of them up tomorrow morning.

I now have questions.

What should I expect in regards to recovery? Anything I should be aware of?

This is the first dogs I have ever had go thru spay/neuter surgery. I have had cats for many years so they are a bit different than my two pups.

I bought baby onesies for both dogs to wear. I was told they may have a "cone" on them if they are bothering their incision site. I had laser surgery done on both pups and hoping this will help with recovery.

I just hope I can keep both pups calm and not too active until they have recovered well enough.

Today I have been trying to keep busy with washing both pups beds, blankets and soft toys. I want to make sure all of their things are clean and fresh for their arrival home.
