I bought one of those balls @Walmart in the past for Bella. Of course she's not quiet while playing with it though.
She loves it & barks, chases it & the ball makes noises while hitting walls, corners and rolling around.
Maybe giving a bully stick will help while studying. They definitely are entertained quietly with these. Good Luck!
