If your dog has growing pains, giving aspirin can be a big help. You can also try switching from a puppy food to a food for adults, Adult dog foods have less fat and protein, and appear to sometimes be helpful in reducing growing pains. |
I was wondering this, but did not ask my vet about it. Actually Max is growing extremely fast. He's now 7.2 pounds. The vet was fairly surprised yesterday. He's also eating Life's Abundance and has been for about a month. However, I feed him cottage cheese because I've read that helps with standing the ears. Perhaps that's adding to increased protein. He also chews bully sticks as well.

This causes limping in the young dog and sometimes an inability to walk without great pain. Symptoms last as long as the dog is growing or until the food is more balanced. |
I've just googled panosteitis and it looks like it's associated with pain. Max is showing no pain at all.
