I just found this, and Max has none of these symptoms except the first. He doesn't have swelling or pain: The most common sign of Lyme disease in dogs is arthritis, which causes sudden lameness, pain ands sometimes swelling in one or more joints. Other signs that may be seen include fever, lack of appetite, dehydration, inactivity, and swollen lymph nodes.

So sorry to hear of Max and more problems.
Yes, Jackson had Lymes and was limping. He had NO other symptoms. Very strange. But was put on 30 day antibiotic and 7 days of pain pills, and it was cleared up. I would test for it just in case. I ended up spending almost $400 at the vet for x-rays, etc.
