When I have the flu and am not supposed to be eating, I still like to eat too... Probably not always a great plan though.
Ellie usually has an appetite when this happens to her (although hers is worse and is related to pancreatitis). It sounds like after three meals and a snack, he has thrown up. Can't keep happening (IMO). Just puts him at more risk of dehydrating. When you start feeding again, start off verrrrrrrrrrry slowly with extremely reduced amounts.
Nutrical or karo syrup is fine for hypo and pedialyte is fine for dehydration, but that is generally speaking. There are issues that these things would be countraindicated for. Need to be careful about giving too much Nutrical without food because it really should be balanced with protein. Water is fine if he can hold it down (don't let him drink too much at once). If he keeps throwing that up, it would have to be pulled too.
