My Raley was chipped in March when he was 3 1/2 months old. He weighed 4 pounds.(I had asked prior to this age/weight and my vet did recommend he get a little bigger because of the needle.) I do not regret having him chipped at all. He did yelp once but after that he acted like nothing had happened!
