Thanks so much for your responses. My bitch was contracting all night and day and then she was lumpin up constantly. i let her out of the whelping area and she went under the bed. i checked on her . then when it go dark out i moved her back to her box and left her in the dark w the door closed and checked on her 15 min later and I came into the room and there was a PuP!!! Yippie... not pushing before this...it was a surprise! MY vet friend believes in dark rooms and leave them alone. 15 min later the second one arrived, then no after birth on the second. I spoke to my vet friend during the whelp and I gave her calcium and the contractions slowed and stopped! UGG! She to me I had to go to the ER for a calcium drip, so off we went in the middle of the night and the 2nd afterbirth and 3rd pup arrived safely. Previously she pushed agressively for two hours before pups came, it was different this time around. 2 girls and 1 boy!
Now waiting on Daisy, she is due the 25th.
Thanks again for all your help. I have learned so much from ya all here on YT. I am a novice and we all have to start somewhere.
