I have been taken her temp all day today, i think that 4 times it went as low as 98.6 and then back up to 99.7. I have been keeping a good eye on her and dont think that anything is going to happen tonight.
But we will see, today is 59 and still going.

It is true that the temp usually drops within 24 hours before active labor starts. But, it is also true that the muscle contractions of labor will start the temp back up toward normal. Nature is so wonderful and the puppies have to be kept warm. That might explain one of the reasons the temp goes back up..
Breeding is not an exact science and there are many challenges but worth it...Good Luck |
