| Fenfluramine/Phentermine They don't allow Dr's to prescribe this anymore but I took it for almost 2 years with a strict Dr oversight and it worked for me. I did not loose it fast but at steady rate of 2 pds a week and if I started to loose it any faster my Dr had a fit! I was sent to a nutritionist and a medical fitness guy, as well. My blood was drawn monthly and I was only given one month's supply per visit for 6 months. At 6 months it went to every 2 months and then at a year I think it went to 3 months until the FDA put a stop on it. I haven't always been heavy but I have always struggled with it. Infact, I would (today) say that at one point I was a bit anorexic and a little obsessed with exercising. Taking these pills was the first time I had EVER felt full. Crazy as it may sound - it's the truth. Some people just don't have that chemical working the way it should. The best part was that when I started loosing weight - I felt better - I wanted to do more - and I got healthier. Unfortunately, as with many diseases or illnesses, if you don't continue the meds - you end up where you started. I hope that in the very near future that they decide to allow this to be dispensed again. While it affected a few people adversely, it truly helped more. This is not for someone wanting to loose 20 pounds - it's for medically obese people - 100+ pounds overweight.
