Confused Spay & Neuter

I have two Yorkies. They are from the same litter and were born March 23 2010, so they will be 6 months old next week. I know I have to get at least one of them fixed soon. I am thinking of having Coco go first (the bigger male). Last time they were weighed he was a little over four pounds and Bacci (the little girl) is only a pound smaller but it looks like a big difference. She is tiny compared to Coco. They are healthy, eat well, get enough exercise and are very much loved. I just heard that we might wait a little longer for her because of her size. And I've also heard many opinions on waiting after their first heat or before it or right at the 6 month mark. Any suggestions? I'm altogether freaking out about them going through this but I feel Bacci would have a very hard time being pregnant because of her size and we don't want Coco going crazy and marking his territory all around the house. But I do know at least one of them should get fixed very soon.
(I attached these two pictures to give an idea of the size difference).
