I would contact the breeder and let her know what is going on.
It is always a good idea to check out the breeder before buying a pup from them. The AKC papers just mean that the parents are registered as purebreds with the AKC - and you need to send in your papers and register Harlie with them. Having AKC papers is not a
guarantee of anything really.
If you know the breeders kennel name, there are members here who may know more about the breeder.
