I've been reading all the threads about vets "ripping people off", and although I do understand it is a small business, its hard to read that so many other people feel the same way I do. I was hoping I could find a way to avoid any extra expenses my vet feels like throwing my way and take them to the University Vet School to get their vaccinations for less. |
It depends if you live in a high Parvo area--I live in oklahoma and it's really bad here. So I vaccinate with a Parvo only vaccine at 5 weeks old---I must warn you a Vet's office is a wonderful place to pick up a parvo virus ! So If you take them to a Vet --go inside and ask if any parvo cases are in the office at the time or ask the Vet to come to your car and vaccinate there. I order my vaccine and give my own shots--it saves GOBBS of money ! And in my opinion !! I use Neopar Parvo vaccine--it over rides what is in moms milk to protect the puppy earlier than any vaccine I know of ! A lot of people disagree with me BUT I've had parvo years ago and it is the vaccine that STOPPED it dead in it's tracks---I wouldn't do with out it !!
