I just saw this thread. Glad to hear Carlo is doing well and will be okay. It really is tough not to get scared when something like that happens and to not fear the worse when you've actually had the worse.
That was a good point you made about the emergency vet. I had to take Libby, my lymphoma dog to the emergency clinic after a negative reaction to one of the chemo meds and she was suppose to only receive regular ringers for her IV, not lactated ringers. I remember mentioning it to the vet tech, but she ended up getting the lactated ringers anyway.
