What is nutracal and where do I get it? Is it only for hypo? and how long do I give it to her for? I notice sometimes when she first wakes up she shakes a little, but I thought that was because she was cold? I am really scared about that because she does sleep a lot, although she does eat often (i keep her food out and always change it).
Also what is an xpen? Not sure how to put a pic on here. Who ever had the pics of there 2 pups they are soooo cute. I just love yorkies. How did i ever live w/out one??? |
My puppy was only eight weeks when I got him and he weighed nine ounces. Nutrical is a supplement that will prevent hypoglycemia. (Low blood sugar). You can get it at the vet or any major store like Walmart or Meijers if you have one in your area. I find that what my vet has is thicker and just looks better to me but it is a couple of dollars higher. Ten bucks. In a tube like toothpaste. I give about half a fingertip. Too much will hype them up. You should give it to your baby two or three times a day. That m ight be why she shakes when she wakes up. Some of them go all night without eating. My puppy is nearly five months old. I have given him Nutrical every day as a routine thing not just because I think he needs it. I give it to him about an hour before he goes to bed because he doesn't eat at night. Food is down, he just sleeps all night I guess. I give it to him first thing in the morning before I even make coffee for the same reason and because he doesn't eat until nine or ten oclock in the morning. I see a lot of people that only give it if they see signs of low sugar but I am just too afraid to do that. I have always given it routinely and I guess I will until he is grown,
