You can get Nutrical or Nutristat from your vet's office. I'm surprised that they didn't give you any while you were there since yorkies can be proned to get hypoglycemia.
X-pen is short for exercise pen. I'm using one that is black metal...about 2 foot hight and you can shape them into any shape you want. They are in connecting panels and it folds up very nicely.
