OK, if Yorkies aren't real dogs, I'm a Yorkie lover and not a dog lover!!!
Off course I'm just kidding. I love all dogs.
The thing is that any dog is a mirror of his owner.
In the past two years that I own 2 Yorkies, I have met many people (some of them professionals in the pet business) that say to me that they have never met a Yorkie that never barks, bites people and pee everywhere and mine are the first ones that are so well behaved and so friendly to everybody (people and animals including).
I always tell them that any dog that is around many people and hasn't got hysterical owners, will behave like mine.
It's not the dog to blame but the owner.
This is not something that you can explain easily to someone with dog behavioral problems. But such people are the ones to blame for frightened non dog owners.
It's up to the responsible dog owners to become the ambassadors of the dog race.
