Oops- she said a snap pliers would be fine, you're not going thru heavy layers- but that is still $27.00!
The metal snaps I used to use are still available at Hancock or walmart, a hammer tool is about $7-really frustrating without the tool, I remember spending lots of time digging the slammed one out and replacing...
