Again what is too short is relative, but I wouldn't completely toss a nice dog just because of a short tail. I'd have to see the dog as a whole...It would be a negative, but if the dog was nicely structured with quality coat blue & tan color and silky texture, I could probably live with a tail too short....it's not genetic fault so if nothing else it's easily fixable (next generation) to correct and fit the standard. It's a little hard to say for sure sorry, but I wouldn't pass just on that.
Are we talking wee little stumps that don't carry above the level of the back?
