I am so lucky with Beamer. I got him last year the day before his first birthday and he had been used to being bathed every week. He loves being groomed. He stands on the table and lets me brush and comb him, and as soon as he sees I have a bow in my hand, he lays down with his head towards me so I can put his bands and his bow in. His groomer comes to bathe him once a week for me, and she remarks how co-operative he is with her.

Was funny the other day, I noticed his bow was all askew. My husband said he had used his paws trying to get the bow out. I couldn't understand it as he is really good about keeping his bows in.
But I put him on the table to take the bow out and redo it. There was a piece of dried grass in his topknot. That is what he had been trying to get out, not his bow. As soon as I combed him out and got rid of the grass and put his bow back in he was fine.
I was in tears! She called me and had me come back for her to "show me" something. When I got there I was met outside the door of the grooming area of Petsmart where she told me that I was the owner of the worst dog EVER and that there was no help short of the Dog Whisperer techniques for her. I was standing there with tears in my eyes as she "demonstrated" her aggressive behavior by using the BIGGEST pair if shears (looked like old fashioned hedge trimmers ) to trim her hair while raking a comb through her mats. She snapped and showed her teeth and I was then convinced she was devil spawn! It was after that I found a REAL groomer that knew how to handle her and for a long time she was only scissor cut because of the trauma from that horrid woman. I complained about what happened all the way up to corporate and never went back.

Beamer is so much like Bogey. He loves his topknot and bows too. Just lets me put his hair up and never a peep out of him. I think they could be buds. Such a love bug too.
