So I became determined to have the very best dog at the groomers and worked with her every day to get her past her horrible behaviors. Now she is great for the groomer and pretty much doesn't fuss at anything the groomer does~well except her nails but she plays and runs so much in the yard she hasn't needed a nail trim in forever.
that amazes me. The groomers should know that not all dogs have grooming experience, and should know how to handle an "inexperienced" dog.

I am so lucky with Beamer. I got him last year the day before his first birthday and he had been used to being bathed every week. He loves being groomed. He stands on the table and lets me brush and comb him, and as soon as he sees I have a bow in my hand, he lays down with his head towards me so I can put his bands and his bow in. His groomer comes to bathe him once a week for me, and she remarks how co-operative he is with her.

Was funny the other day, I noticed his bow was all askew. My husband said he had used his paws trying to get the bow out. I couldn't understand it as he is really good about keeping his bows in.
But I put him on the table to take the bow out and redo it. There was a piece of dried grass in his topknot. That is what he had been trying to get out, not his bow. As soon as I combed him out and got rid of the grass and put his bow back in he was fine.
