Good grooming habits are a learned process. Mimimomo who is a member here sells a great brush that is very good for little ones that are sensitive to brushing.

My suggestion would be to make an area that you groom her in and always use that spot. This will establish the idea that she needs to behave a certain way when it is time to be groomed. I like to do mine 3 on top of my dryer in the laundry room. I place a towel on the dryer so that they do not slide around and feel secure. Have a few treats available and always keep one hand on her so that she does not try to jump down or get away. It is not a good idea to try to brush your puppy while sitting on your lap. Even my 3 who are very good when I put them up for grooming wiggle on my lap and will run away. But when I set them onto the top of the dryer with their grooming supplies they all are very well behaved.

You can use these same habits for bathing as well. I would also suggest that you purchase a small basket to keep all of your supplies together and easily accessible when it is time to use them.

In a calm voice praise and give treats while running your hands over her body (w/o brushing at first). Touch her all over making sure to feel her paws and between the pads too. Do not allow her to bite at you while you are doing this. Stay calm and continue to praise her and offer the occasional treat. Since she is so little only work for a few minutes at a time since she will begin to get distracted and want you to stop. Work your way up to brushing small areas at a time~all while praising and offering small treats. Cheerios work very well for a small treat and they love them

It is very important that you establish good grooming habits at a young age since Yorkies need lifelong grooming care. Just be very patient and work your way up to spending a few minutes at a time several times a day.

Here is a thread with pictures of the brushes and combs that she sells. I have several and my Doodlebug who is Mr. Sensative does really well with the green brush.
