I have heard that 2 females are harder because they have more issues with dominance. I just heard that, but if anyone has any advice, it is welcome. |
My son has a boxer that was probably 2 or 3 when they got their yorkie and, they are the best of friends. We also have an 18 month old granddaughter and he has never snapped at her. They are wonderful dogs. My husband has said several times that when something happens to our 14 1/2 year old Shih Tzu and our 6 year old lab that he wouldn't mind having one. They are extremely smart and gentle. Both of my son's are males. The only male dog we have is Wyatt the other 3 are girls and we have never had any dominance problems. Of course, Precious our Shih Tzu doesn't think she is a dog so, she doesn't pay much attention to them.
I'm sure they will be fine.
