We have just entered the Yorkie World.
Three days ago we brought home our Yorktese (yorkie and maltese mix). This is a Christmas present to my 12 yr old son who has wanted a yorkie for years. We are the total sports family, and my son is a HUGE St Louis Cardinal fan...so of course it made sense to name our newest family member Ozzie (after Ozzie Smith). Ozzie is 9 weeks old, and from what I can tell at this point and time has more yorkie traits than maltese. We've heard from so many of our friends that have yorkies talk about the fact that when the puppies first come home...they sleep all the time. Not Ozzie! He is one hyper squirt. My husband and I, my daughter and son are all excited about this new adventure -- nervous, but excited. It will definitely be nice to be able to call online "back up" from time to time. I'm excited to get to know each of you as time goes along.
