Our 18 month old Yorkie, Darwin was supposed to be microchipped when he was neutered. For some reason the microchipping was forgotten and I just had it done a few weeks ago. We have an extremely gentle vet, but poor Darwin yelped a lot getting it done. I am glad I had it done just in case he ever gets out of our home, or when we're travelling, but I really wish I had it done when he was put under to save him the pain. If you are strapped for cash, my vet also said that he's had more dogs returned because they were wearing their rabies tag and only one dog returned because of the microchipping. We live in a pretty remote area so it's probably different if you live in a big city. Now Darwin is chipped and has his rabies tag. Sorry, but I'm not familiar with Oravet. Good luck! |
