It has been a great experience with Carlo. Also, you can sleep well knowing he is on the job. If I get another, I would get him into tracking and Personal Protection, after a heavy 2 year socialization and off leash obedience.
I have been around a lot of large Mastiff breeds, and I can say with honesty, while Carlo is not the biggest, I have never had or seen a stronger one. Almost 11, battled Cancer, he can still jump a 5 foot feence, walk for miles, run, play, and obey. His best quality is protecting Maxine when she goes outside as we back up to a forrest preserve. You can't put a value on that. | Steve, the Corsos sound wonderful if Carlo is exemplary of the breed. I wish you much love, health, and happiness with Carlo and also with little Maxine. You are very lucky to have them, and they are most fortunate to have such devoted and loving parents such as you and Marge. |
