I know that many dogs have a bad rap, because they get more media attention... I did not know that other dogs were used in dog fights, thank you for correcting me (whomever did, I am older now, and having memory problems- lol)
I did want to reply to what we have experienced next door... where there was a pitbull and a pitbull/something (a pit mix) anyways, the pitbull herself seemed nice, she didn't try jump the fence, or try and bite my dog through the fence, but the pit mix did...
I could not let my dogs run in the yard, when these dogs were out (which was most of the day) sometimes I would knock on their door to have their dogs come in so mine could play.
The mix dog would ram herself into the fence (wood privacy fence) she would try jump it, and would stick her nose/mouth under the fence and did manage to bite my yorkie on the nose, but didn't get a good grip so I got my dog away.... this happened when I had asked them to put their dogs in so mine could run- within five minutes they let their dogs out.
None of us were able to walk on that side of the house, because the fear we had of this dog... thankfully they moved out.
So there is proof for me anyways, that all dogs are different, even pits. |
