Lacey always rode on my mom's shoulder while she was driving. I was always too scared to drive with her. But, the last few months of her life, I was forced to. Because my mom went on a cruise with my 3 aunts. So, I had to drive her to the vet 3 times a week for IV fluids just to keep her alive. Luckily, our vet was only 5 minutes away. We tried putting her in the backseat, but she would throw a fit. And she would jump over the seat. We did not want her to hurt herself. We managed 13 years of doing this and never had an accident. Car seats were out of the question at the time. Because Pet Smart and Petco were not finished in Houma until about 6 months before she died. We never even had a crate for her. She would of threw a fit anyway. The only time she has ever been in a cage is when she would go to the groomers and she was waiting for us to pick her up.
